Frequently Asked Questions

Is payroll via the WPS system mandatory in the UAE?
Yes. All mainland businesses are required to pay employees through the Wages Protection System (WPS), a government electronic salary transfer system monitored by MOHRE. Failure to comply can result in fines and licence suspension. We manage WPS submission on your behalf.
How is end-of-service gratuity calculated in the UAE?
Gratuity is calculated based on the employee's basic salary and length of service. For the first 5 years, it's 21 calendar days' basic pay per year. After 5 years, it's 30 calendar days' per year. We calculate and track gratuity obligations for your entire team.
What employment contracts are required for UAE employees?
UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021) requires a formal employment contract registered with MOHRE for all employees. Contracts must be in Arabic or bilingual. We prepare and register compliant contracts for every new hire.
What is the probation period for new employees in the UAE?
UAE Labour Law permits a probation period of up to 6 months. During this period, either party can terminate the contract, though advance notice is required. We advise on probation terms, termination procedures, and post-probation obligations.
Can you handle HR for both Mainland and Freezone employees?
Yes. While some HR regulations differ slightly between Mainland (MOHRE jurisdiction) and Freezone (authority-specific), we manage both. Our team understands the nuances of each jurisdiction and ensures full compliance regardless of your setup.
