UAE Company Liquidation

Close Your Company the Right Way.

Winding down a business in the UAE involves more government submissions, compliance steps, and documentation than most founders expect. One missed step can leave you with outstanding liabilities or a licence that never fully closes. We manage the entire process, end to end, so nothing gets left behind.

Why It Matters

Liquidation Done Properly Protects You

Closing a company is not just a matter of stopping operations. In the UAE, an unliquidated licence continues to accrue obligations, and unresolved visa, immigration, or tax records can create complications long after the business has ceased trading.

Whether you are closing a freezone entity, cancelling a Dubai mainland licence, or winding down following a restructure, the process requires careful coordination across government authorities, immigration departments, and tax registrations.

Our team has handled cancellations across the major UAE freezones and Dubai mainland, and we take full ownership of every step from first submission to final confirmation.

Formal cancellation is the only way to fully close your obligations. Stopping operations without completing the cancellation process will not end your legal or financial liabilities.

Our Process

How We Guide You Through Every Step

1

Free Consultation

Tell us about your company, its licence type, jurisdiction, visa holders, and VAT or corporate tax registration status. We will assess what is required and give you a clear picture of the process and costs before anything begins.

2

Document Collection

We provide a precise list of everything needed for your specific licence and jurisdiction. Typical requirements include your trade licence, passport copies, lease cancellation (if applicable), and visa cancellation confirmations for any visa holders.

3

Visa and Immigration Cancellations

Any investor, partner, or employment visas linked to the company must be cancelled before the licence can be closed. We coordinate and track each cancellation through the relevant immigration authority.

4

Tax and VAT Deregistration

If your company is VAT registered or subject to corporate tax obligations, deregistration and final return filing must be completed as part of the closure process. We manage this in full, or coordinate with your appointed accountant.

5

Licence Cancellation Submission

We submit the formal cancellation application to the relevant freezone authority or DED, pay the applicable government fees, and track the submission through to approval.

6

Confirmation and Documentation

Once the licence is formally cancelled and all obligations are cleared, we provide you with the confirmation documents you need for your records. The process is complete and your obligations are closed.

Additional Services

Corporate Tax Deregistration and Final Filing

If your company is registered for corporate tax, deregistration, final return filing, and the preparation of a liquidation report are required as part of the wind-down process. These are handled separately from the licence cancellation and are priced based on your company's total transaction volume and annual turnover.

As a general guide, a bundled corporate tax deregistration and final filing service typically falls between AED 4,000 and AED 6,000. Your specific figure will be confirmed after a review of your company's financials.
